Diana Dubossarska
Artist, Illustrator

Born in Kiev, Ukraine, Diana spent her childhood in Prague (in then Czechoslovakia, now Czechia). The streets, bridges, pigeons and humor of Prague has left an indelible mark on her that seeps through her paintings and illustrations. Having graduated from the Ukranian University of Culture and Arts, she pursued studies in art at the Kiev Institute of Decorative Art and Design. She spent a few youthful years in radio advertising in Kiev before moving to USA . In New York, she attended the historic Art Students League with many bright students and teachers. Elsewhere, she had lessons with academic painters only to finally arrive on the scene of Naive Surrealism, which she calls her artistic home. Her art speaks of joy, freedom and a sense of belonging in a world that is as surreal as it is sensuous. There is some mystery and a lot of magic. Ask those who have her artworks in private collections in Canada, Czechia, France, Germany, Italy, Norway, Ukraine and the U.S!
